Manatawny Still Works to host grand opening

Manatawny Still Works will host a grand opening on Friday, May 30, at 320 Circle of Progress Drive, Suite 104, Pottstown.

The festivities begin at 3 p.m. with a ribbon cutting and will end at 10:30 p.m.

Check out all the distillery has to offer and sample some of the specialty cocktails at the bar. Hear live music by bluegrass band, The Manatawny Creek Ramblers, from 5 to 8 p.m., and alternative folk band, Tin Bird Choir, from 8 to 10:30 p.m.

Manatawny Still Works is a new distillery bottling the highest quality hand-crafted spirits in small batches. The distillery is located in Pottstown on the banks of the Manatawny Creek-whose name literally means “the place we meet to drink.”

The distillery is paying homage to Pottstown’s past by naming spirits after regional historical figures including J. Potts Whiskey honoring ironmaster and Pottstown founder John Potts and T. Rutter Rum recognizing ironmaster Thomas Rutter.
